YOGA FOR EVERY BODY

Yoga Classes Virginia Beach

Slow Flow

This class is inspired by vinyasa yoga and open to all levels. We flow between poses at a slower pace while still focusing on linking your breath with your movements. Class is beginner-friendly and many modifications are offered. Break through mental obstacles as you strengthen both the body and the mind.

Gentle

The movements of this gentle yoga routine will release tension, open up your body, and relax your mind. Take your time in each movement, breathe easily, and stay relaxed as you flow gently between poses.

Hatha

A class that integrates mind, body, and breath; and cultivates strength, flexibility, and balance. Poses (asanas) are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail. Recommended for all levels.

Relax/Yin

Achieve peace in body and mind by balancing the meditative aspects of breath and stillness with passive floor poses held for a few minutes at a time. This hour on Monday afternoons can help you relax, manage stress and anxiety, and enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.

All Level Flow

This yoga class is designed to move the body and focus on the breath. Vinyasa yoga (flow) is faster-paced with an emphasis on linking your breath with your movement. This practice builds strength, stamina, and increases cardiovascular fitness.

Candlelight Flow

A slow vinyasa yoga class surrounded by candlelight. Designed to help you wind down and relax at the end of the weekend while preparing you for the upcoming week.

Relax Flow

A steady, calm, and relaxing stream of poses (asana) designed to calm the body, mind, and breath. The focus is on calm and even breath, while moving into poses with lots of ease and free of tension. The class includes breathw0rk and plenty of time for reflection/meditation.

Multi-Style Yoga

A fusion of different styles of yoga including, but not limited to Hatha (classical yoga) and Vinyasa (movement linked with your breath) that is suitable for ALL levels. The instructor will guide you through class at your own level and pace. You will feel stronger, focused and rejuvenated to take on things with a calmer focus.

Chair Yoga

No matter what your health challenges or level of fitness, you can still practice yoga. Chairs and props are provided for this gentle yoga class to keep everyone safe and supported — no mats required. Practice is done both seated and standing. With a chair (or two) and other props for support, this class challenges the body and mind through strengthening, stretching, relaxing, and breathing. Flexibility and muscle tone will continually improve as your mind, body, and spirit work together in harmony. This class is for those who have issue getting up and down off the floor and prefer a chair as their main seat. Caregivers are welcome to join in as well!

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a very calming practice that helps us slow down and rejuvenate. Props such as bolsters and blankets are used to completely support the body in gentle poses that are held for up to 10 minutes. Restorative Yoga releases excess tension in the muscles to allow for full relaxation of the body and mind. This class is perfect for illness/injury recovery, beginners, and anyone who needs extra TLC.

Mindful Unwind

This class is breath-nourishing, low to the ground and fluid. It is a led myofascial unwinding, available to every age, body, and stage of movement practice. Expect a combination of sustained and dynamic poses with intentional breaths and transitions.
